Naomi has a special focus on energy related matters. Prior to opening her own practice, Naomi summered, articled and worked as legal counsel at Hydro One, Ontario's largest electricity distribution and transmission provider. Working primarily on First Nations files, real estate files, and corporate law files, Naomi provided legal support to Hydro One's attempted acquisition of a US electricity and natural gas company valued at $6.7 billion and to Hydro One's $1.6 billion offering under its medium term note program. Naomi also assisted with negotiations for transmission and distribution permits required under the Indian Act for Hydro One's assets on First Nations land throughout Ontario.


Naomi can provide legal advice on complex energy issues and help with the development of alternate and renewable energy resources. Naomi is able to review your entity's initiatives against energy policy and provide recommendations on ensuring compliance. Naomi can provide representation at various stages in regulatory applications and advise on various regulatory issues. Naomi has provided her expertise on various law reform initiatives that impact Indigenous rights and can advise on how energy policies may provide opportunity for your business or community.
